The Angoulême International Comic Festival is held from January 30 to February 2, 2014

In 2014, the 41st edition of the Angoulême International Comic Festival will be held, which will have the theme The comic looks at the world. The objective is to analyze how this art has evolved and has been integrated into the reality that surrounds us. It will also celebrate 50 years of Mafalda and the 60 years of trajectory of its creator, Joaquín Salvador Lavado, better known as Cinchona.

We remember that Mafalda She is a incredulous and generous girl who keeps her views and reflections intact. Mafalda is not fooled and thinks out loud so that we all enjoy her and can reflect on her. Mafalda's career, from 1964 to 1973, allowed Quino to introduce a critical and subtle spirit into the Argentine press, offering many points for reflection, such as the Role of women in modern society.

In addition the 80 years of the Mickey's Journal, a timeless weekly magazine that knew how to seduce several generations of comic book readers and that in France it is the oldest Disney publication. Maybe in Spain it's the Mickey Club When I was a little girl when this nice mouse had more fame than we read his illustrated adventures in which all his friends participated: his girlfriend Minnie, the evil Pete Pata Palo, Goofy, and in which Donald, Daisy, Pluto also appeared. etc.

Many events are also scheduled for attendees such as international meetings, workshops, etc. and the popular Drawing Concerts. The goal is for a group of cartoonists to make an original comic live and in public accompanied by the orchestra of Areski Belkacem. And is that the Drawing Concerts The 41st edition is one of the most anticipated and relevant events of the Festival because they allow an original approach to the process of creating the comic that the authors work collectively while the audience attends delighted and astonished.
