Baby grooming requires appropriate products

The hygiene of a baby or a small child has to be considered differently from that of an adult for several reasons, the baby's skin is much more sensitive to certain microbial infections and is very sensitive to the action of soaps or detergents that are too strong , which can dry the baby's skin. In the market we have a series of products suitable for baby grooming but we must always make sure through the consultation of a dermatologist.

In a newborn it is advisable to avoid any synthetic substance of high foaming power, the ideal is to wash it with a soap that has a pH of 4 to 4.5, unlike what can be believed, a neutral or alkaline soap can cause suffering the skin.

Today we have the possibility to choose from a multitude of very soft soaps, which are specific and suitable for babies' skin, which are also approved by scientists. The advantages of these soaps are several, they dissolve quickly with water, make very little foam and are suitable for both the skin and the baby's hair.

After rinsing the little one with water, it is advisable and necessary to protect your skin with a moisturizer also intended for it, as this will prevent your skin from drying out. In an adult, some products do not pierce the skin, but babies' skin can absorb these products. Substances such as boric acid are potentially dangerous and toxic to the baby's central nervous system. Any cream, powders or other solutions may contain some of these toxic substances therefore it is advisable to consult the pediatrician, he will advise you on them and the need to use them or not.

Always use moisturizers and oils, these products keep moisture and avoid direct friction with the skin. Remember that talcum powder is not convenient and much less commonly used, as these dry the baby's skin extremely dry. Basically, talcum powder is tiny crystals that with continuous rubbing causes breakage and irritability of the skin, consequently a low dermatological defense is suffered.

Any questions will always be resolved by the specialist or dermatologist and it is always better to consult that not take an initiative on our own with ignorance.
