What are child tics? Video

They usually appear around age seven and are often not well diagnosed. They often represent a stigma for children who suffer misunderstanding. This video is very clear about it: what are tics?

They are more frequent in childhood than is believed and children do not do them on purpose but they are involuntary movements and / or sounds and without apparent motive of muscle, convulsive and repetitive groups.

Usually the tics disappear after adolescence, they even disappear in months or weeks, although there are those who live with them throughout their lives. There are tics of non-neurophysiological etiology, which are generated from movements that were initially repeated voluntarily and of neurophysiological etiology, such as Tourette's syndrome.

Parents have to be vigilant and not ignore the symptoms, discuss them with the pediatrician and not be angry with the children, since they cannot avoid tics. These images emphasize that children who have tics often suffer teasing and how this fact can affect them negatively.

In the video about tics we see many children with this disorder quite misunderstood and it is explained, with English subtitles and a beautiful background song, a lot about him. And we remember that, from the families, from the schools, from the whole society, the children with this disorder must be protected and understood.
