Into the woods it's a version modern Y musical of the endearing fairy tales of the Grimm brothers that mixes the plots of several stories with humor and tenderness. For example, references to the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood RedJack and the Magic beans Y Rapunzel. All of them are combined in an original story starring a baker and his wife who have the desire to start a family although the evil witch, played by Meryl Streep, has cast a terrible curse on them.
The director is Rob marshall, musical director Chicago, and that is based on the original musical of James Lapine, winner of a Tony. The history of this Walt Disney production, as they explain in the Film Blog, allows you to recycle traditional stories and turn them into attractive commercial shows for all audiences.
