I loved this big ball that represents the Earth, so that the kids have the world in their hands and have fun combining the traditional way of playing ball and their first learning about geography.
With fewer risks than a ball in the classical world, it is for younger children (it is inflatable and weighs little) and is manufactured in two colors: blue background and pink background. An unnecessary concession to toys "designed for girls", I would say ... I don't like the "Pink Planet" too much, even if we don't intend to look too much for realism in those multicolored continents.
But anyway, focusing on what I do like about this toy, I will say that next to the colorful representation of the continents different human figures, vegetation or native animals appear, which leads us to be able to speak to children of multiculturalism, and, why not, awaken their traveling appetite and their curiosity to know other places in the world.
Another way to have the world as a toy, although it may take time until they really understand the scale and the most accurate representation of the globe. This great "mundi-ball" is from Barruguet, is recommended after two years and costs € 15.90.
