Music video for childhood cancer research

Cancer is the leading cause of childhood death. and in Spain 1400 children with this disease are diagnosed every year. However, we are far from countries around us in terms of research funding, so we often have to look for solidarity alternatives to investigate in this area.

The Telefónica Foundation has launched the “Lydia Project” of The Cris Against Cancer Foundation, an essay on acute leukemia in children without treatment alternatives and they have proposed to find partners to continue financing the project. Today we teach you the music video for childhood cancer research They just recorded.

This is a hopeful and full of imagination video, which has the altruistic collaboration of actor Jorge Sanz in favor of the Foundation and his project. An investigation driven by the death of acute leukemia of a six-year-old girl whose parents have donated 120,000 euros to the Cris Foundation. It has a duration of three years and a total budget of 360,000 euros.

The video has a plus of emotion, as it is a tribute to that girl, Lydia, as it is inspired by a story she told her father to encourage her. A story with a happy ending against "the ogre of cancer" and with an optimistic musical theme composed of volunteers "Your smile will give life".

Anyway, we hope that the Lydia Project will go ahead and through research the treatment of children suffering from cancer is improved, in this case acute leukemia. And that more children can be saved from this disease that can be overcome, although many resources are needed to continue exploring ways.
