For a respected birth: documentary about obstetric violence at birth

Birth is one of the most transcendent moments in the life of the human being, and it is also for the mother who gives birth. The woman has the power to give birth, but sometimes that power is stolen giving rise to births not respected.

The Birth Rights Pro Platform has developed a documentary about obstetric violence at birth I recommend you to all pregnant women. Not to scare, but with the intention of being informed about what they want, and especially what they do not want, for their delivery.

Obstetric violence at birth is that which mothers and newborns receive at the time of delivery. Actions that do not respect the natural process of childbirth, such as speeding up childbirth for medical convenience without respecting the mother's rhythm, separation of mother and baby, unnecessary episiotomies and caesarean sections, medical practices not recommended such as the maneuver of Kristeller, bag break and vaginal touch ... to name a few.

The documentary lasts just under half an hour. In it you will find testimonies of women who are going to serve you a lot, experiences of births that unfortunately have not been as happy as expected and will help you to know that you do not want the same.
