Holy Week explained to children in cartoons

Many children educated in Christian families ask questions these Easter days, because for them it is an important date and of great significance. For others, we are simply on vacation, but the origin behind these days in our culture cannot be hidden. This cartoon video explains Easter to children.

It is a chapter of a Motion Pictures production titled "The Bible" and in it you can see from the moment Jesus arrives, he makes the messianic entry into Jerusalem to begin his passion and death on the cross. That is to say, from Palm Sunday that begins Holy Week, such as today.

The last supper, the betrayal of Judas, death and resurrection ... The theme of the Passion and death of Christ are treated superficially, without showing hard moments. Images such as those of the crucifixion in the churches, which usually impact young children, (we have once entered a church and my daughters still ask me ...) are not highly recommended.

In short, the drawings show important moments that are at the base of the liturgical acts that can be seen in our streets these days and about which children ask many questions. And all seasoned with some Disney-like songs but with religious lyrics.

In the drawings, however, it should be borne in mind that some characters have been placed on the side of "the bad guys" exaggerating their features so that children are more clear about this issue (although in my view it is good that the little ones know that people are usually neither so bad, nor so good ...).

We leave you Holy Week explained to children in cartoons, a "soft" way to let them see what the Bible tells us, since we are not going to give them "The Passion of Christ", the bloody version of Mel Gibson ... Anyway, I recommend you go to the original text, very beautiful and poetic sometimes.
