If you think that at this point in life some cartoons cannot make you cry, you are wrong. 'Strings', by Pedro Solís García, is a beautiful animated short that will reach your heart, and even more when you know what's behind.

Few weeks ago it has been awarded at the 2014 Goya Awards as the best Spanish animated short film due to its sensitivity and the example of integration it transmits.

Here we leave the trailer for you to open your mouth, since the complete short film cannot be legally disseminated due to copyright issues. Although it is being reproduced without authorization in the networks, its authors have expressly requested that it not be disseminated at the moment. When allowed, we will present it to you completely.

The protagonist of the short is called Maria, a girl whose life is altered with the arrival of a very special boy. They become inseparable, a close relationship is created between them that makes us reflect on the value of friendship and integration.

The dedications of Pedro Solís García at the end of the film say it all. The story is inspired by her daughter Alejandra because of the way she plays with her brother Nicolás, affected at birth by severe cerebral palsy. When asked why 'Strings', Solís replies that "there are strings that do not tie, but release."

'Strings' is not only a beautiful animated short that reaches the heart, but also has great educational value. That is why it has been recommended by the Ministry of Culture and they are asking for it in schools to teach children.
