What is your favorite tree? The answer to that question will accompany the competing drawings of the fifth Mapendo Prize

The Roger Torné Foundation has launched the fifth edition of the Mapendo Prize for children's drawing; this time with the title "The trees, your friends". It is open to the participation of children between five and 12 years old, and those who want to present themselves must draw a picture and write a short sentence explaining what trees are for them.

What is your favorite tree?

It is essential to accompany the drawing of said original explanatory phrase responding to the aforementioned question. If, due to their age, the boy or girl is not in a position to write the phrase for themselves, an adult must pick it up and attach it in writing along with the drawing. Each child, with the prior authorization of the parents or legal guardians (see Annex I of the rules), may participate with a single drawing and present it together with an explanatory phrase written on a separate page. To these will be attached a sealed envelope that includes the authorization signed by the parents or guardians and the name, surname, age, address, telephone number, course and school to which it belongs, as well as a contact email from parents or guardians.

The originals will be presented at: Fundació Privada Roger Torné IV Mapendo Prize for children's drawing. Rambla Catalunya 60 Pral 2nd, 08007 Barcelona

'When we devised the Mapping Prize for Children, we did it because we wanted the children to paint or draw what they see, what they dream, what they imagine but always around an element of nature. This year we have dedicated it to “Our friends the trees”. We like to think that the Mapping Prize is an opportunity for parents to chat with their children about this nature, close to some but also too far away for others, in their daily lives and to tell us about their experience through a drawing'.

Organizers they look for a drawing that is the voice of a boy or girl, maybe parents should help them get inspired by telling stories of a walk in the woods, or remembering what our son did the first time he picked up autumn leaves, otherwise, they are free to capture what the motto of the contest suggests.

The Roger Torné Foundation will be able to use the winners drawing and phrase to design their Christmas greeting card. Likewise, the Foundation reserves the right to publish on its website the 10 finalist drawings along with the name of the authors and the entity or school to which they belong.

Remember The deadline ends on November 13, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.. And about the prizes I have not yet spoken, but both the winner (or winner) and the finalists will receive lots of products to paint, books and t-shirts (individual gifts are planned, and others for the class of the winners).

Will your children be encouraged?
