Popular charity race Sanfilippo syndrome, this year also for children

Sanfilippo Syndrome is a rare and devastating disease, which is still being investigated. This year the second edition of the popular charity race Sanfilippo Syndrome, in which children can also participate.

There will be a special edition for them, not competitive, at 10:30 on April 21, the same day that the older ones will run at 9 in the morning. For the elderly there are two editions, 10 and 5 kilometers, so that no one is left without their number (they are purchased in advance online).

For the adult category the donation is 10'40 euros and for children 6'24 euros. 100% of the benefit will go to research this disease. There is also a "zero tier" from which anyone who wishes can make their contribution. The race is in the neighborhood of Las Tablas, in Madrid.

Recall that Sanfilippo is a neurodegenerative syndrome that affects children from birth. Given its low frequency, one case per 50,000 births, is considered within the group of rare diseases.

The foundation's commitment Stop Sanfilippo, organizer of the popular charity race, is to encourage research to achieve a cure or treatment for this disease. We hope it is a success!
