'Born': a shocking documentary about motherhood in Colombia

Today I bring you a preview of Nacer, a shocking documentary about motherhood in Colombia, made by the Colombian director Jorge Caballero, who shows us the stories of real births in public hospitals in that country.

The filmmaker tells that he has connected with his childhood and with his birth and that he felt the need to show what happens in Colombian maternity wards, the way each woman gives birth and the particular experience through which each one of them they, alone, because man is not allowed to cross that feminine space.

The film manages to highlight a crude reality, in which the socio-economic position determines each woman's way of living her own motherhood. In each of them you can see loneliness, resignation, anguish, coldness, fear, but also courage and courage.

'Be born' it seemed to me a pretty shocking video about motherhood in Colombia, because I see the helpless and lonely women in such a special moment of their lives. I think it helps us to know their reality and the emotions they are going through in front of the birth of a child.

I leave it to you so you can see and think in the comments what you think.
