Cookies to make with children: edible blackboards

One of the Recipes that children like to make the most are cookies. In general, baking is a great option for cook with childrenIt is fun and does not need the use of stoves or knives, the only time to watch is when we bake, that should always be done by an adult.

Today's tutorial recipe is very simple and the result is funny and fun, and, why not, it can even be didactic: Turn some butter cookies into edible boards!

They are an option to take as a gift to the teacher and thank him for everything he has taught the child during the course. To make them you just have to bake the cookies with a piece of chocolate tablet.

Ingredients

Butter cookie dough (here you have the cookie recipe with tutorial on how to make them very simple). 120 gr of chocolate sugar glass tablets

Instructions for making the boards

We preheat the oven to 200ºC. We split the tablet into equal pieces of the size you want to make the boards. Stretch the cookie dough on baking paper (about 5 mm thick) and cut rectangles (slightly larger than the tablets we have cut). We put the chocolate on the cut rectangles by pressing gently (the smooth side of the tablet should face up).

Bake the cookies for about 7-8 minutes (until we see that the tips begin to brown. Immediately after removing them from the oven we cut the leftovers to leave the square edges. We let them cool (if it is very hot, leave them in the fridge, but the chocolate will not be hard for you.) With the help of a toothpick, we write a message or drawing on the cookie, let your children's imagination fly, or add and subtract them to do!

Sprinkle with icing sugar, making sure it penetrates well into the letters / numbers.

We remove the excess sugar, with the help of a cloth or with the finger and we have our boards ready!
