Highlights in Babies and more: from May 3 to 9

Today Monday, as every week, we bring you a summary with the highlights of the last seven days in Babies and more.

During this week we have continued offering food topics in our "Special Food". We have talked about meat in infant feeding: veal and pork, fish and, concreting a little, white fish. We have also given some recommendations for the elaboration of the children's menu and we have commented on a little known phenomenon that affects many children and people: one in four children is a supercatador.

Breastfeeding has once again been one of the topics discussed and we have known that breastfeeding reduces the risk of asthma in childhood, we have talked about breast milk for premature babies and we have known a moving story about the fight against a mother to continue breastfeeding, at the entrance: Breastfeeding despite the cracks, the frenulum and a bacterial infection.

Coinciding with Mother's Day, we have continued publishing your stories. This week we have been able to read several: "It has been a hard road in its beginning, but full of happiness, satisfactions and good times", "It was only the beginning of a great adventure, the adventure of my life", "I simply learned to love "and" It is the light that fills my life with joy. "

With regard to the health of children, we have talked about Impetigo, what is the way to act when there is an accident with children involved, when to go to the emergency room in case of fever and how it should be a safe crib. In addition we have also commented on some of the characteristics that high demand babies can have.

Focusing a little on fathers and mothers, we have explained that 40 percent of mothers would have wanted more children and, to get your opinion, we have done a survey: How many children do you have and how many do you wish you had? We have talked again about the names of babies, questioning one of the typical traditions related to this topic: Do we put the name of dad ?, we have talked about a classification of the ways of parenting according to the economic resources we have: two unique parenting modes: with money and without money and we have started a debate about learning, from each other, in the parent-child relationship in the entry "Do we learn from children or try to be like us?".

Finally, Mireia has brought us another excerpt from the more than interesting interview with Dr. Emilio Santos: "In the human species giving birth lying down is not usual" and Eva has offered us some interesting figures on human reproduction.

We hope that this week the contents of Babies and more find them interesting, enjoyable and practical. We will work to make it happen.
