29% of child restraint systems suspend

An analysis of the children's chairs carried out by the Royal Automobile Club of Spain has shown that of the 28 models analyzed, eight are suspended. That is 29% of child restraint systems suspend and none of those analyzed get the highest score.

The tests show that the chairs that are placed in the opposite direction to the direction of the march hold the head much better. Although it is also very important to fasten the chair to the seat, and in this sense the Isofix with base would be worse, since it causes the upper part to shoot out; The most efficient system would be the Isofix that is anchored directly to the seat.

After the analysis, some important conclusions have also been highlighted, such as that the chairs that leave the seat belt at neck height can cause serious results in case of sudden braking. Likewise, they have highlighted the harmful effects of what seems to be a fairly widespread custom, that of riding the children in the chair with the backpack on.

On the website of Ponle Freno we can see a video that shows the brutal impact that children's bodies can suffer In case of accident and retention systems not valid or misused.

Although we have tried to access the RACE report, from its website we have no possibility, and although it mentions the study on the cover, at least at this time you can not expand the information about it. We will be attentive to offer you the report as we have done on previous occasions.
