A child honors the memory of his younger sister, singing "Remember Me" from the movie 'Coco'

A few weeks ago I told you about 'Coco', the first Disney Pixar movie whose story revolves around the Mexican tradition of the Day of the Dead and that we consider an essential movie to see with our children. It is a very beautiful film, full of color and music, that reminds us that although our loved ones are no longer physically with us, they will always be with us, in addition to helping explain the death to children and understand it a little better.

A little four-year-old did not forget that message and on the birthday of his younger sister, who died a few months ago, he decided to sing "Remember me" (Remember me), the most emotional song in the movie.

Alex is four years old and lives in San Antonio, Texas with his parents Samir and Stephanie Deais. In May of last year, his sister Ava Lynn, four months old, died after being diagnosed with hydronephrosis, a condition that is characterized by excess fluid in a kidney due to the accumulation of urine.

Tonight my wife and I light our candles for # WaveOfLight2017, not only for our little precious princess Ava Lynn, but for all the angels who were taken too soon. We also light our candles for the strength of all the Mama's and Baba's out there who have to wake up everyday and choose to be strong and choose to continue and live through our angel babies. Even though they aren't with us physically, we find hope through them even when we don't think we have anymore in the tank. #InfantLossAwarenessMonth #WaveOfLight

At home, they have a small altar dedicated to the memory of Ava Lynn, with photographs, candles and other objects in honor of her. A few days ago, Samir posted a video of his Twitter account Alex singing the emotional and famous song from the movie "Coco", in what would have been his sister's first birthday.

My son singing "Remember Me" from the movie "Coco" to his baby sister, Ava, who we lost this past May.
He's only 4 years old and he understands. He didn't even know he was being recorded. He just wanted to sing to her for her 1st birthday!
Happy Birthday mamas, we miss you! 💕 pic.twitter.com/EoVLjju0bJ

In the video we can see Alex singing the song to his little sister, accompanied by a guitar like that of Miguel, the protagonist of the film. According to Samir, 'Coco' movie helped Alex understand and better lead his sister's death: "He started asking more direct questions and using 'Coco' as a reference helped him understand it better"says Samid for Buzzfeed.

The video has been retweeted more than 56,200 times and has more than 2 million views. Samir's post has been flooded with positive comments, as everyone has been moved by the little Alex's act of love towards his little sister.
