Christmas cards with fern leaves and buttons

Whenever I look for crafts to show you I go through my favorite site to inspire me, the Martha Stewart website where good ideas are always found.

On this occasion, taking into account the dates, I will show you how to make Christmas cards with such simple materials like the leaves of a fern or buttons.

They are very easy to do so that children can participate in its manufacture. If they are small they will need some help but the older ones can do them themselves by looking at the examples in the photos if we give them the materials.

For either of the two versions, the base is A4 colored cards folded in half. In the first example fern leaves were used as a Christmas tree (the truth that they have the perfect shape) that were then decorated with stars on the tips and sequins as balls. You can also use other materials that we have at home such as colored papers or ornaments painted by children.

In the second example, buttons of different sizes were used to create Christmas motifs such as a border, a garland or a snowman. To complete them, colored sheets or ribbons were added.

I hope you like the proposal and that you find it fun to make the cards with your kids.
